Project Overview
Peel Away 8 was applied then covered with the protective sheets taped up for full encapsulation and containment with no fumes and water soluble properties. The work was carried out from 10:00pm to 6:00am so the car park could remain operational during the day.
The application and removal was carried out by Richards Contracting Ltd from Christchurch in conjunction with the main contractor Southbase Construction Ltd. This night-time operation ensured minimal disruption to the carpark's daily operations.
The successful completion of this project prepared the steel eye beams for their new intumescent coating upgrade, maintaining the structural fire protection requirements of this important commercial facility.
